Hello guys, i was wondering if i could start forums for my site, currently i have 50+ unique visitors. So what do you prefer? Yes or No? my site:www.jhelumfun.com
Ofcourse you should. Now a days forums are becoming more and more important for different type of sites. A forum may also bring in regular members to your site..
nice suggestion. I also need moderators for my site,so i will request if anyone could manage my forums,in response i can give you one thing you all will like,i will allow the top moderator/admin of my site to put his/her google ads in my forums,i will remove my google codes. Now howz this offer?
Hey i personally think you should also make sure you open a forum that looks nice also if you need a head start adminpalace.com Good Luck
actually the problem with blogs is that people only reads it,and in forums i can set from admin panel so users need to signup before reading/posting. what do you say? also no one is interested in my offer?
do it, but at the same time make sure u have 3-4 friends who gona be active there coz u want a forum doin good alwayss dnt u !! share some revenue with them
No, not with 50 visitors a day. Stagnant/inactive forums are depressing. As said above, have some members who will regularly post & promote your forum, and have a promotional strategy (giving away free stuff) before starting it. Digitalpoint, iwebtool all work because of the "other" offerings & tools. Without something to attract people to view the forum & post, the forum will pretty much resemble a blog or rant site.
I disagree eXe. You can have a fairly buzzing forum with 50 (or maybe 100) a day if your topic is niche enough. Peace out Notting
It's the initial traffic to get the forum going which is important, not the additional offerings. Sites based solely on a forum can do very well. It's obviously made much easier if you can tap into existing traffic sources.
Should you start a forum? Yes/No Do you know how to manage a forum? Do you know how to work on the theme and script? Do you see yourself able to start hundreds of threads about the topic your forums have to keep them alive and provide the users with subjects to discuss? Are you willing to spend MORE time than you spent on the site? The forums don't have 1 hour every 2 weeks. You'll find yourself working 4-6 hours a day to grow your community. Can you do this? Then do it. And enjoy the hard work and also the nice community. But don't do it because "it's cool" or it would be a good traffic trick. Too many bad forums are born this way.
I agree - I'd go with a blog maybe something like WordPress then you can allow your guests to post comments and such. Once you've gotten a large enough crowd then try for a forum.
you can start your own forum in a few minutes but you must ask some questions to your self. can you find traffic for your forum? can you find members for your forum? if your answer is yes for both question, start your own forum
