    I am looking to take on a web design project over Christmas. I need to build up my portfolio, so am looking for someone who needs a basic 5+ page site done with PHP contact form if needed, my price is $300 + $20 for each extra page and you will have the site in about 2-4 weeks, depending on the requirements. Buyer will have to provide any flash content, a logo and details about their company for me to build the site.

    Logo design service offered at extra cost.

    The idea is that I am offering a cheap service because I need to build a portfolio so I can advance myself in the web design field because I don't have a lot of web sites under my belt.

    I do have 2 sites which I made over a year ago, and my most recent one, All 4 Sides Web Design, they are all here:

    http://harvestcitychurch.co.nz/
    http://fencingwaikato.co.nz
    Most recent, still a work in progress: http://all4sides.com/

    No offence pal but 300$ is way too much. In code - you using tables - thats was good few years ago. Also, once again - no offence - you graphic skills should be mastered before you will start posting threads with your services here. Any way, good luck!

    No offence taken, I have no idea what prices are, I was basing my price on a quote I got for the same job from a professional who came in at $990.

    So here is the new Offer:

    Basic 5 Page Site - $110
    Extra Pages - $10
    Free Godaddy .com

    Hows that?

    Saying "no offense" doesn't make something not offensive. Neither does putting a question mark at the end of a sentence.

    @yottaflop

    Im not offended at all, mate. It as constructive criticism. So my sites suck? Better knowing it now, than getting a few years down the line and still building shotty sites, don't you think?

    @everyone else

    Thanks, I will improve my technique and hone my skills, then I will come back. Cheers

    $300 is underpriced for web design, if a professional is doing it.

    But it looks like you are still in a learning stage, so your prices are a bit high for yourself.

    I'm a designer myself, I was just giving some input based on personal experinces.

    Anyways, if you have Skype send me an invitation at kyle.gile I'd be interested in partnering up with you for future projects.

    New Zealand is way behind in web design skills. Im from Wellington and companies charge $30k for crappy sites so you have no grounds to learn whats decent. Try learning photoshop and basic x/html and css.
