    Dear all,

I write on the topic of marketing on my own blog www.marketing91.com
The thing is, along with basic content, i also want to upload latest marketing news.
However my source of the news is through newspapers and online surfing. As there are already articles written on the respective site, would it be seen as Duplicate content by google if i write it on my site. Or will add value for readers but not contribute towards my sites development as i think google deletes duplicate content?
In essence, how do i go about writing news articles when they are already present on other sites?

Simply rewrite them in a different manner.

Next to rewriting, you can't. Period.

Maybe have the content on your home page and seveal pages in your site unique? Those will be indexed, while the pages that have the duplicate content, may, not.

I say "may," because it really isn't a 100% certainty if the spiders index duplicate content, or not.

It's ok if not all pages are indexed. Many sites' pages aren't. Even the most popular sites.

Your site is on marketing, so isn't it better to market the shit out of your site instead?

On a daily basis, you would get 100, 200, 300...times the traffic through that avenue then you ever would through search engines.

Yeah, organic traffic is free, but even if you did the proper optimization and made sure all your content is unique, it still does not guarantee you will rank high.

Personally, I think it is all overrated.
