For security purposes MAC is better. :)
But Dell can be used to do almost everything including installation of all softwares.

You should know that most games and software available are mainly compatible with Windows.

If all you're doing is web coding, basic graphics, email and instant messaging... keep your Dell, and have a look at either Ubuntu or Linux Mint, or even one of the Linux netbook distros.

It will cost you nothing, except some time to read the docs, make some mistakes, and then do it right the second or third time :D

    http://www.linuxmint.com/

I'm booting into Linux more and more every day. The only time I really have to use Windows is when I use Photoshop/InDesign, which is unfortunately more often than not.
I'm running EasyPeasy on my old netbook, and it's a total joy.

I'd suggest a Mac all the way. Get Coda on it and you should be good to work on your site :).

I think Mac looks totally awesome, and even though I like it a lot, I think it is simply too expensive (and sometimes not as program compatible). If the prices of Macs become cheaper, then I'll definitely be the first one to buy them in PACKS!
