They owe me a lot of money, and they don´t pay. I call that a sheer fraud! Or does anyone here think different? I will request them to pay me what they owe. And otherwise I will delete ALL my files. I can only say to those, who have in contemplation to buy an account from FF: DON´T DO IT! Give your money away for usefull things! But not to those swindler!
Why would you buy an account with filefactory if the files you want to download aren't even on filefactory Email reply - ''FileFactory Support Hello, Unfortunately your account has a large number of illegal files which are against our terms of service and we are unable to pay Rewards for such files.'' Over 20 would be a large number I take it. As you can see filefactory don't want these files and wont pay you if you upload it to them. They didn't use to decline payments for this reason before but now they do. How are you expected to promote and sell accounts when they pull this stunt. Even you yourself would think twice about buying an account with them. My new signature comes to mind along with that email - Don't buy an account with filefactory, they don't have the files you want, as people aren't rewarded to put 'em there for you.
If someone downloads 3 different files from 3 different uploaders within an hour and then purchases a premium account, who gets the sale from the 3 uploaders?
This is what ffs has promised us in previous thread which is far far better than this A lot of you are very upset with the rules of our Rewards program. We cannot simply pay for all downloads if you are sharing files at our current Reward program's rates, because quite simply, it's too expensive. We are trying to think of changes to the program that will allow you to still earn rewards even if you want to mirror files, while rewarding members who generate sales more - because while we value everyone uploading, the ones that make sales pay for the Rewards, servers bandwidth, etc, for everyone else who doesn't. If we did this, we would possibly be able to remove the mirroring rule, because people that mirror a lot will earn a maximum of $5 per 1,000 downloads - unless we had them on Commission, and if we did, then they'd at least earn 50% of any sales they make. Anyway, here is our idea so far. These numbers are very rough, and we have not yet performed reports on our current program to figure out what the ratios should be, so these are NOT OFFICIAL and are COMPLETELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF GETTING FEEDBACK: Step 1: If the sale revenue is greater than the reward earnings over the last 7 days, they automatically go into the "Amazing" category below. Step 2: If the sale revenue is less than the reward earnings over the last 7 days, they get classified according to the following criteria: Amazing: More than 1 sale per 1,000 downloads = 40% commission on sales, normal DL rates Great: More than 1 sale per 2,500 downloads = 25% Commission on sales, normal DL Rates Standard: More than 1 sale per 10,000 downloads = 10% Commission on sales, normal DL Rates Poor: Less than 1 sale per 10,000 downloads = 20% Commission on sales, Group "D" Rates Commission: Set on a case-by-case basis = 50% Commission on sales, No DL Rates The rates will remain the same. Everybody is currently in the "Standard" category, so that will give you an idea of what would change. Please post your review with these..
ffs have put forward a scheme which would have boosted up uploader's enthusiasm to sell more premium, than to remain passive with only 20% commission with very poor download rates which is very rare to see in any file hosting site even on low budget ones.
Hi Guys, We have calculated the new rates so that the vast majority of users who make sales still earn the same amount (or more). People who don't sell any accounts will generally get around 70 - 80% of what they were earning, it won't just be cut in half as the rates would have you think. The new file size tiers have been selected by analyzing all of the files we're hosting and grouping them intelligently instead of duplicating the tiers other hosts are using. If you have noticed a severe drop in earnings we can look into adjusting your sale commission percentage on a case-by-case basis. Setting it to 40% across the board and still paying for downloads is not feasible unfortunately. We'll possibly be making changes to these rates and percentages as we go along and see how much everybody is earning. If it's possible to pay a higher base commission, we will do so. I'm disappointed that you're unhappy with these changes - obviously we knew that lowering download payment amounts is going to ruffle some feathers, but I'd have hoped the other changes would make up for it. We analyzed several hundred accounts when coming up with these new figures and a substantial amount of them actually earn more under this program. The ones that don't have not dropped a tremendous amount, either. We have created a commission only payment program now, and if you'd like to become part of it you can email us. You cannot join this automatically yet, and it's not currently advertised, but it does exist. The commission rate will be 50 - 60% depending on the kind of sales you're generating. Also, just so you know, the primary reason for doing this is to stop having to reject payments for any reason. I'm hoping that everybody will begin getting paid regularly and this thread will have no purpose anymore, because these problems will stop. It will make all of our lives easier. @jimbo-53: If you compare the old and new rates, they haven't been halved. You will earn more for some downloads than you would have on the old system. The altered file size tiers make it much easier to earn with us now. dzbuy16: Premium download limit will be looked at - we'll see how things go for awhile and may re-implement the file size limit if necessary. Now that we're lowering the maximum Reward tier to 300MB+ it may not need to happen. @viruz99: There is plenty of proof that we will pay, but the primary reason for these changes to the program is to let us be able to pay everybody, every time. @Darkangel21 - The sale will be linked to the last file downloaded or last referral link followed. - When did you receive that reply? @donatus: You should have been emailed with the reason your payments were rejected. If you have so many declines in a row, I would assume you were mirroring files, which up until last night was against our Rewards program's rules. @dkp: We may be able to increase the base commission amount depending on how things go over the next few weeks.
Hi FF, the new program looks nice, and will force everyone to look for sales rather than downloads... I think you should increase the limit download per day for premium users, and even if you count files over 300MB big files like HD movies and games are the most looked at.
That was from an email dated Nov 25 which I wasn't happy about as I thought we got passed the whole DMCA/illegal files issue. Maybe they thought I would quietly accept that reason and take my losses as in if you don't complain they don't need to pay. As for the new scheme, I don't mind lower download payments, its getting any kind of payment I'm more worried about
@dkp: I can't actually remember what your FileFactory email is to check your account, but most people would have fallen into the "Standard" or "Poor" categories of that plan, which would have left their earnings as they were or lowered them to get a maximum of $5 per 1,000 downloads. I'm not sure if this applies to you or not, but as I've just mentioned we can adjust sale commissions on a case-by-case basis. That kind of program is always something we could implement, but we used to have a tiered payment program that paid you more for each sale you made, and the main feedback we heard was that it was confusing and people just wanted to get flat rates. They were confused by it and wanted it changed, so we did. Of the top 15 or so File Hosting websites, only some have Rewards programs, and of them only a handful of the big guys are paying rates similar or higher than our old ones. The new ones are a lot more in line with what is feasible to pay. A lot of hosting websites pop up, pay huge rewards that burn through their cash and then die when they run out of money - and a handful are able to continually pay huge amounts at a loss to get huge influxes of traffic, because that could be the metric that they're targeting. We need to run this as a business - which it is - if you check the older sites that have been established for a few years, you'll see most of them are different from the newer ones who are trying to get a foothold into the market share. I just want to get to a place where everybody knows what they're earning and gets paid what they've requested. Every week, no questions asked.
@dzbuy16: I'm glad you're happyish with it. All files over 300MB are counted in the top tier, so they will earn the highest rates. @Darkangel21: I don't know who gets paid or rejected unless I get told through PM or on this thread, which sucks, but at least I can follow it up if you let me know. Can you PM me your FileFactory login?
Since existing files are too tiered with new tiering plans, can we mirror previously added files to other hosting sites ? Thanks
Like for a 475 MB rar archive 4 100 MB parts uploaded to some other hosts & 1 75 MB rar archive uploaded on filefactory, is this form of uploading allowed ?
@dkp: There are no restrictions anymore. The mirroring rule has been removed, we would obviously love it if you continue to sell accounts but we are not going to search for file mirrors, etc, anymore. What you've mentioned will make it almost pointless for anybody to bother purchasing an account at any of the hosts though, but this isn't against the rules anymore. Edit: And, you will end up earning more if you do sell accounts - you'll earn $15.80 from a yearly membership sale, for example.
