Suggestion Being able to edit your thread after a while?

Hi guys, I have a contest thread on digital point and the problem is I don't want people finding the thread when they search for my company on Google. Is there a way to request a mod to remove the thread or for me to edit the post later on?

    Thanks

You can report it by using the report button at the bottom left of your post. You yourself can't edit it after a certain amount of time.

Ya, I mean it's only been 2 days. I understand they don't want me changing the rules but it's not very encouraging for me to do contests on there if it appears on Google lol. Looks pretty unprofessional. I don't think they'll allow me use the report button as it's not against site rules.

You report it and ask for a modification. Better than creating threads in this section.

Faizalabbas, as you have figured out, we do not delete threads that do not violate our guidelines.

Alright I'll give that a try when the contest is over.

    Thanks

You had 8 hours to edit your thread, now it's uneditable and will remain on DP for years to come, it's unfortunate but you have no choice but to live with it. All you can do is report the post and request a thread closure.

You can PM a Moderator and can tell him. He/she would do that for you.

Nope, moderators would do edit your thread sometimes if it's a proper request.

Yes that's true but the OP is asking to remove a link, which means that is uneditable, I am staying on topic and not regarding other threads or situations other than what the OP has posted :)
