Finding Out Who Hacked My Forum

    Hi,

My vbulletin forum was hacked recently and made so that it redirected to another site.

I was just wondering how I can go about finding out who actually did it and how?

I'd like to be able to fix the problem after I do a rollback.

As mentioned above I use vbulletin, and my hosting is managed through cpanel if that is necessary information.

Which site did it redirect to? Thats prob the person that hacked it. There are also people that play a game of hacking. Type in your url and hack into google. Someone earns points the harder the site is to crack.

Was it the forum itself or did someone just hijack your domain?

    3.6.4

It looks like they hijacked both because the forum redirects to the hackers site but they also accessed my domain account and tried to push the domains to themselves.

Seems like they've just hacked your domain account and redirected the domain to their NS ;)

Well then you're begging to be hacked in an old version, no offense. Maybe it's time you upgrade or change forum software.

But it sounds more like this is a domain hack.
