If you set up a google alert with your exact keywords, then google will notify you every time anything new appears on the net with these keywords, you go to the site and leave a sensible comment, you then get a relevant, targeted backlink. Most of the blogs etc. will be moderated, so it's no good leaving a stupid three word spam comment. It works like this. If your keyword is 'how to train a monkey to dance' you set up your google alert (follow the instructions on the google alert page). Each time a new article/comment anything containing this keyword appears anywhere you will receive a notification from google. If it is relevant and you can post, then post, ping and wait for the search engines to find your link. With 'normal' keywords you can expect to get about 50 alerts a day, maybe half of which you can post on, so 25 new targeted, relevant backlinks a day for a few minutes work. Try it - it works.
This is a service offered by Google. They will not penalise you for using it. The blog owners might get upset if you spam them.
I have been using this method for some time now. There are no issues with posting your link on a bad site as Google is crawling and indexing the page. Thus the notification. Not to mention it also lets you know what your competitors are up to as well
One thing to remember when setting up your alerts for this strategy is to exclude mentions of your keywords on your website. Otherwise you will get alerts when google visits a page on your site with that keyword.
It is a good method of blog commenting without the extra effort of searching for blogs relating to your keyword. If you can leave constructive comments rather than spammy "great post" type messages you will have a far greater chance of having your post published.
when you have built up enough articles and backlinks on your articles will help you obtain visitors that are actually interested in The biggest reason is the UAW let's you submit different versions.
I am also using Google Alert to get notifications for backlinks. If you place your domain name as alert, you will get an alert everytime the domain name , appears on the web.
PaulSch, Thank you for the tip. Just set up my google alert, will see how it works. LinkGenie, nice catch , thanks.
i am not sure but i have setup google alert and of course, i got alert everyday from google at least once a day for the keyword i set and i do not know well about this using. So, thank for the sharing of it here.
How do you guys differentiate which ones are follow though? Google alert send any blog, no-follow as well.
Well you can always check if they are nofollow or dofollow, but it really doesn't matter. These all count as backlinks.
