Using sites like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and forums will definitely get the word out about your site! Having backlinks on these sites will increase your traffic!


#3 BEING ORIGINAL IS KEY!!!

One easy way to do this is to create several slightly different articles so that all of the sites will get ranked that you post on! Because if you just post the same exact thing one 6 different sites google only ranks the first site!

 

Great advices, I agree about relevancy and being original, though the 3rd factor can be overcomed using some techniques, the 2nd factor related to backlinks from those sites is not that good. For traffic maybe it works but for backlink building I don't see Facebook backlink of any good use

 

Great list but aren't you forgetting several other factors such as SEO, backlinks, sitemaps, etc. Plus doesn't having Popularity automatically mean you're receiving traffic? After all isn't that what popularity on the internet means?

 

All three tips are important, but I believe that the real key is not being original (but it is very important), the real key is quality content. It doesn't matter if you're relevant, known and original, if your content sucks

I would also add a few more things such as: high quality backlinks with keywords in the anchor text, consistent quality content, and on-page SEO such as keywords in your title and description so that the search engines know what your page is all about.

I think the best form of advertising still has to be article marketing but it is finding the best relevant places to place your articles.
