Just wanted to let you know that we have some fun videos on YouTube that highlight some of Bweezy's features! Here is one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9vrS8rIkhc
I am not against self promotion, but come on. You just joined this month and telling us all why you have chosen this search engine and why you use it. I have a hard time believing you are not a made up account used to bump this thread. While this new engine may be incredible, don't insult me with these fake followers and advocates of an unknown engine that just happened to join in the last couple of days, but act like they have been here for awhile. That only makes me NOT want to use the engine.
Badlands07, Right. I also have shares in W3C, which is why I have been commenting in the html and css (oh, and Javascript AND apis) forums. What a load of crock. Did you bother to take a look at my activity in these forums at all? There are certain things I am passionate about: html, javascript, and yes, a good new search engine. I search the web DOZENS of times a day, just like I spend hours with html, CSS and Javascript. And so I enjoy posting about all of them. I would appreciate an apology on your part.
Snakeair, We actually are working on offering our own results, but feel that this is NOT a priority. Let's face it, it would be very hard to come up with search results that are better than those of Google and Bing. We're not trying to fix what's not broken. We ARE, however, trying to give the user a much faster and more intuitive search experience, which is why we developed advanced features that you don't have in any other search engine. Check out our feature videos on the homepage. When it comes to search one thing is important: which website will help me find what I'm looking for faster and easier. The answer, without a doubt, is Bweezy. "I could do the same thing you did to your site if i had a spare domain to use" Doubtful, as Bweezy took us three years to develop, but you're welcome to try
Badlands07, We are clearly not against self promotion, but we don't feel any needs to create fake accounts and advocates. We think Bweezy is amazing and want to share it with the world! We're extremely proud and we believe that Bweezy speaks for itself. We're delighted that Philst18 is a fan and hope others feel the same!
I dont think you can have long life in the term of search Engines huge competion... Dont take it personally just a thought. Design is good..Goodluck
Very nice! I assume your using Google Ajax Search API But i suggest working on the design, perhaps making it more professional.
I like the interface. Good luck promoting it. Search Engines are a big business, even if u can corner 1% of the global market u'll be rich, but u'll need lots of money to popularize it.
philst18 - I do owe you an apology, after looking at all your posts I do see that you are contributing much more to the forum and I am sorry about about my comment earlier.
Its nice to have different search engines but I think Google, Yahoo and Bing are enough search engines to search any thing coz no one has that much time to search in different search engines.
ayasmonsterz - If you like Google, then you should definitely check out Bweezy. We offer Google results, but with additional features that are easy to use.
