Hi DP friends, I am currently building few fashion clothing and accessories related websites and I am looking for an ideas where to promote websites and get quality traffic. For now I am planning directory, article directory, social bookmarking, social media promos. Can you suggest other marketing strategies? Cheers Kal
Article directory is pretty good create an article about fashion. Do more blogs too related to your niche, syndication is considerable too like blog commenting and forum posting.
There are more than 5000 items, it will be nearly impossible to do it with long tail keywords. It is top brands authentic fashion
The best time to plant a tree is 30 years ago, the second best time is today. What I mean is, if you want the website to make you money you are going to have to work on getting keyphrases for the exact items ranked. Yes, you actually have to work, but it pays off in the end. Submitting a site with 5000 products, I'm assuming from Amazon or similar, is not going to help anything unless you submit every single product to all of the directories etc. What would help is to have #1 rankings for those products in google, especially since it covers such high paying keywords. In short, if you are looking to make $5 per month then submit away. If you want to make real money you are going to have to come up with a better plan. Good luck.
Yeah get onto Facebook and create a page there, tell your friends and get feedback via facebook first. If your site is good enough people will spread the word. If not you will know from the comments what to work on. Good luck!
I have done heavy social promotion on Faebook and other social networks. Also videos on Youtube, I can tell you, this is not working very well for fashion project. Just open Youtube search for a fashion show or a brand. There is no video with more than 50,000 searches. Facebook, low conversion too.
Excepts the first sentence, I do not agree with you. Trying to rank for the exact phrase for a fashion items, which are changing every season is not the smartest thing. It is nothing related to Amazon or similar, Amazon products have over populate internet. I am talking about authentic clothing and accessories which cost between $200-$6000. Actually I agree with the last sentence as well. I need a better plan.
If you do not know how to drive traffic you do not know your keyword research. It really is that simple.
Forums and blogs will be a great way to get viewers to your site. Another great method is to target websites where aspiring models, photographers, make up artists frequent. Places like modelmayhem.com. It's like a facebook for the modelling industry and there are many many many sites like this.
if u want to get visitors, then you must use forums like digitalpoint, facebook, twitter and some more like these top.
Try also to join some community that is related to your niche. This can also help to drive direct traffic to your site,
Write articles and submit them to article directories, and do some blog commenting on related blogs... Build fan page on Facebook, invite people, talk to them, twitter...
I would start by creating a product feed and submitting it to shopping comparison sites like shopzilla and pricegrabber. As you get reviews and build up a customer base you will be able to request they are fans of your facebook page, send them emails promoting other products etc. Seriously, there is sooo much you can do with branded products.
You can send fashion related email to your friends and related people and also tell your friends about it feature and benefits.
you create whole SEO your site..LIKE directory submission, social book marking. Article submission, press release, forum submission, back links etc....
Hello Kal, There are many traffic sources that would work. - Joint Ventures (with related websites with thousands of subscribers or lots of traffic) - Pay Per Click (PPC) - Pay Per View (PPV) Contextual Advertising - Video Marketing (using large distribution networks) - Banners/Text-Links - E-zine Advertising - Article Marketing - Forum: Posting/JV/Banners - Blog Commenting - Online Press Releases - Online Classifieds - Social Networking This list comprises of the most commonly used traffic sources. It's not humanly possible to build multiple sources of traffic at the same time. Choose one or two sources that you're comfortable-with, completely master them, then start developing the third or fourth source. Good luck, Swarup
