Rules Can I develop a DP based application?

    Hi everyone and Shawn especially
    Can I develop a Windows application based on DP Forums?
    My intention is to create an app which will check for new/unread PM's and notify in system tray with a baloonTip when a new PM arrived.
    Just wanted to know if that's ok before creating/releasing it

    Sorry, our system doesn't allow automated requests from bots or other programs and most likely would result in the IPs of users being automatically blocked.

    How would this prevent a program from taking the rss feed and comparing it to the previous one and create a result based on the difference.
    This could easily be done in php so I dont see how it could be stopped by automated requests.
    You just need the rss feeds.

    Sorry, i'm a retard, I didnt see the op was talking about pm's
