PayPal permanent account limitation

My PayPal account was verified with a Canadian bank, and I withdrew $3500 to my bank. 2 hours later, they permanently limited my account.. anyone know how to fix this? I plan on calling them; will that help? If I call them, what am I supposed to say, etc.?

And seriously, what's the fucking deal? I'm so fucking lost on why they decided to suddenly permanently limit my account.

Just give them a phone call and submit documents if they want you to submit for verification.

Maybe they want more verification from yourside ? But if they finally decided to permanently limited your pp account then you can't do any thing IMO. Just give it a try (phone call) to try your luck.

phone call they always do this when you move large amount a few hundred a days they dont seem to mind, but once you withdraw large amounts they will limit it and you just call them up and then they take off the limits. happen to me on both my accounts

It depends on what you did.

If it was adult. You can forget it. They wont reinstate you.

For now it is easy to open a new bank account and sign up with a different email address

The first thing to do is ask them why it happened

If its permanent limitations then you can get your money via check after 180 days so if you have given correct information then dont worry about it

And they make it VERY easy to overcome that.

If they really wanted to kick people off their system they wouldn't make it so easy to run down to the UPS store, get a new address and sign up with a new account.

They don't require you to submit SSN or other such identifying information unless you make a lot of money. The IRS has dragged them kicking and screaming so that now if they pay you, I THINK, $60,000 a year then you must submit an SSN.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see new legislation to tighten up on this.

What do you mean if it was adult? I was selling game gold for $... that's fine right? I'm still pissed paypal limits me every single time I try to withdraw money to my bank account.. any advice on how not to get limited in the future? E.g. withdraw a small amount or something?

Also, for the 180 day thing, all my information is correct except my first name.. is that okay? Will I still be able to get my cheque? What is the name change process on paypal like?

I don't know what Game Gold is. Is it gambling?

I don't like paypal either. I dislike them in a major way. i also find I need paypal, at least from time to time.

You need to talk to Paypal they are the only one that can answer your question.

I don't know what you did, only you and paypal know that. Even if they catch you doing adult they will USUALLY send the check after 180 days. People can charge back for six months. That's why they do that.

Have you even emailed them? They usually tell you when they limit you when you will get your money.
