In my opinion traffic is traffic relevant to search engine traffic and in our stats G still accounts for the volume traffic, so that justifies valueing G traffic better than the other alternative search engine traffic

I agree no search engine provides quality traffic as compared to Google. Infact from MSN traffic is almost negligable untill and unless you are being ranked by a very competitive keyword.

I guess it depends on the term you're targeting.
For me, MSN traffic ( including quality ) is nowhere near Google.

I agree. I have a 10% conversion ratio from MSN while it's a lot lower for Google and Yahoo!

I have heard many people say that MSN coverts better for them than Y & G. I have seen this too with one of my sites.

funny thing with yahoo is that my counter tells me I get some traffic from them on a specific term, yet when I visit that page my link isn't there...weird..

I have a feeling that Google will account for more traffic since my website is already top for Yahoo and MSN but the traffic is not as much since I am not listed on Google at all.

I must say Google and Yahoo! convert better for me. I had a few #1 rankings with MSN in the past and got like 100 hits a day from it.... when I got a #20 ranking in Google for the same keyword, I started getting about 500 hits a day from that. Google visitors have also had a higher pageview average for me.

Visitors from Google are like poor people who are just looking at the store windows but visitors from MSN are like rich people who buy things without even needing them.:D

My site ranks better and is indexed better in MSN/Live, and Google today the search result will be 5000, but tomorrow it will be 3000, and a few days later, it will be 6000.

But the traffic drived by Google is more than MSN/Live.

People coming from MSN seem to love those clickbank products.
