we just re-designed the homepage of our website: http://www.consultingcase101.com please take a look and let us know what you think, Thanks!!!
I like the looks of those inner pages of your site, but there is an unusual amount of bluish text links on your front page. Could you consider having on your front page a link list fonts something like dark browninsh #6F5644 or just dark #333333 and use that same slightly frayish background #F1F1F1 (on primary link area) that you use on the header. I think those inner pages with actual case interviews appear much more pleasant to read. Besides everyone would still understand those front page links being links... even if they weren't that blue. Also on your front page the current form of "browse more Case Types →" might need some changes. Good luck.
Just happened to open AOL front page and there you see long dark link lists in harmony with occasional blue links. Also imagine if AOL would have a complete long list of blue links there ... yes it would look a bit strange.
I think you need a logo image,...your website is a big business,...so you need more interactive design
Thank you so much! This is so far one of the most valuable comments on our website. We'll take your suggestions into considerations
Cool and Simple Site, But, don't make it totally free and ask people to donate. You might end up running at a loss. Since your site is offering users valuable content they might not get elsewhere, I'll advice you make users to crete free accounts and premium accounts. 1] With a free account you will only get access to one or two free content 2] With a Premium account at $50/Month or Annually, you will have unlimited access to content. 3] Then, you can still leave your donation button. Because some individuals will still desire to donate to your purpose for the simple fact that you've created such a platform.
thanks for the input, this is a great business model, but we do have some concerns: our site is only 4-month old and is still in its early growing stage, we're afraid that charging fees will significantly reduce the traffic which is not so heavy at this moment. how would you suggest we deal with that problem?
at first glance I thought the site had a look of one of those sites you navigate too accidentally if you misspell a web address or something. May want to think about adding something to make it a more appealing draw. Once at the site links were reasonably arranged and user friendly. Overall, I'd say pretty good job.
font color of the drop-down menu is black. i think it doesnt look good. you can use tone of blue or white
