Personal site: .ME or .ORG

Hi. I am planning to start a personal blog. The blog will be my personal thoughts and opinions on tech, so the main audience is not friends and family, but other people in the tech industry.

I can either pick myname.me or myname.org, which one is better? I can also pick something like mynamesblog.com (or something witty).

I don't plan on using any SEO-techniques.

Some help will be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Use something with yournameblog.com

 

Any reason why? I was leaning towards myname.org

Also just to add perspective, I already have .com domains for my web design business and an associated blog.

 

personal site? you don't need to go for .com unless you will put some ads on it. but for non profit. .org will do the job and later on if you get popular you can purchase the .com one for branding protection.

 

Yea, its basically a blog, so I wont be selling anything. I do hope that someday it will become a popular blog (similar to louisgray.com - which is a popular personal tech blog).

 

I love .me domains, so Id go with that. But .org is more for organizations right?

 

I think com domain is the best choice, of cos net is also ok
