There are thousands of affiliate programs for publishers.Just choose some renown companies and start working with them.Best is chose a program that is same to your site niche.

 

There are hundreds of networks available to you, the ones mtmjohn have mentioned are well known and have a great reputation in the industry. Stay away from new smaller networks until thay have been in the game long enough and proved themselves.

Also head over the affililiate paying or offervault and see the offers available across the networks, Find a niche you have an interest in promoting then sign up to the relevant networks.
