Okay, I really have no Idea what I am doing. I figure I will tell you what I want and then maybe someone can point me in the right direction for the information I will need to learn and accomplish what I want.

I am building a IWP (Internet web published) Database that will be accessed through my website. My database is not really up to par yet and very few people would be willing to pay for its services just jet. So what I am looking to accomplish is to put some ads on my website to start creating a little money. More then anything I want to learn how to do this, learn how to put an ad on my site, learn how to connect paypal accounts (Or however it is done). I want to be able to control the content, my site/database are very christian based, so that is important to me. More then anything I don't want to have to PAY money(That doesn't even begin to make sense in my mind). So my question is this, does anyone know the best company for me to go through to put an ad on my site? Or could you please tell me somethings to look for. IE how to compare the different companies. I really have no clue when it comes all this.

    Thank You for you help!
    Dan

    Thanks!

I will look into google some more, content control was what made me a little shy of Google, but I guess if it is Content specific it should be okay.

I am not using wordpress but I will still take a look.

This first time ad is more of a learning experience for me, I am trying to avoid spending money and learn how this whole system works. My website is brand new and I am sure barely ranks on google yet.

Thanks Again Guys! What do people think of ClickBank? I read they give you content control, whereas Google is just Content specific.

Is there a website that lines up Advertising companies in a list/excel type format to compare features/prices/options etc etc?

    Have a Great Day!

Hmm I think I have an idea of what you're trying to do whit your website . If you're a Christian oriented website add a Paypal donate button . Collect the donation and keep just enough to cover the websites costs and donate the rest to Charity . You can even ask for community support on this one . My suggestion is that you sticks whit AdSense or the moment (not 100% sure if it works whit religious oriented websites) . That along whit the donations should give you a good start .

You have a long way to go and tons of things to learn , money will come but not overnight . PM me whit site's link and I might be able to help you a bit more . Good luck and God bless you .

I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking what is the best ads to put on your site or the technical skill to do so? I think someone in the thread already said so, but adsense is the best to start. As far as putting the adsense code, it is pretty much copy and paste. Copy the code from adsense and paste it in your website code. Of course some tweaking may be involved, centering, placement, etc.

    Hey Guys!

Thanks for all your feedback! Really Appreciate it!

Okay, more questions. As usual for noobs like me ;-)

Is there a type of advertising that pays you a set monthly amount?

For instance, can I sell Web real estate for a set price, a few dollars a month perhaps? Is that an option in web advertising?

    Thanks Again Guys! Your awesome!

There are a lot of sites now are offering to add ads and because of that Pay Per Click is very known because of the Ads. The best and easy way you can use is the Adsense, it is already proven, easy to used and it really secures everything. All you need to do is follow their Terms and Conditions after that you can promote your site via Social Media and forums.

There are many ways to do this. You can for instance use Buy Sell Ads (I haven't tried them myself).

Hi Daniel! Does your website have a steady amount of traffic? If yes, then you can try selling ad space yourself and set it at a fixed price. The price, of course, will depend on how much traffic you're getting; the higher your traffic figures, the higher you can charge. Set up an advertising page with details about your stats, your pricing structure (ex. price for text links, button ads, banner ads etc.) and a contact form. Make sure to mention what other advantages your advertiser will get from having exposure on your site. Then have a prominent link or banner on your home page that links to your "advertise here" page.

If advertising revenue will be your website's primary income stream, work consistently on getting a lot of traffic to your site and increasing page views. That way you can also increase your advertising rates. Maintain the quality of content on your site and it won't hurt to have a professional looking design too. Hope that helps. Goodluck!

You said your database is not up to par,you got to fix it because people won't stay in a page if it is taking so much time to get stuffs done with you below par DB.

Okay Ya'll! Back with another question!

Can you post ads on your site form multiple ad companies? For instance, can you an ad to your site from the following companies

    Google Adsense
    ClickBank
    BuySellAd

What do the companies think about this? Do they mind? After all it is your site, and you should be able to post whatever ads you want from whomever you want, right? If I could do this then I could experiment with each one and decide which system I like the best and which system produces the most for me.

    Thanks again for your help!!
    Dan

Start with Adsense. Very easy to get started. You can use a mix of ads like Adsense, Clickbank, Amazon...these companies do not care. Google would care if you tried to advertise your site through Adwords and have Adsense ads on it though. So dont do that, but the other companies are fine for this.
