the site is well done, you have an interesting niche. I don't think the service itself is clear though. Do you just look up the track listing?

You'll probably be able to do good SEO, anyway.

 

Thanks for your compliments on the design aspect. We have tried to come up with copy for the homepage that describes what the site is about, maybe it needs to be more in depth. This niche is new, and we hope to gain a good following through organic SEO.

 

The design looks good. But, i have a problem here with website loading time. I think you have to optimize the images.

 

Hmmm, the images are optimized. I just turned the caching back on so hopefully that helps with your loading times. Are you using high speed internet?

 

First of all- I love the header image/ logo. Its catchy sleek and to the point.

I have to agree with some of the other comments about the purpose of the site being a little confusing. Not everyone reads all of the text and websites and it took me quite a while of browsing around to realize that I couldn't buy the tape or listen to the songs.

Also, the album images seem to link to the image url. I don't know if this is intentional, but I don't really see the purpose of this functionality.

 

Thanks for checking out the site and the great feedback. Sorry, but its impossible for us to inform people of what the site is about unless they actually read the intro copy. I'm trying to grasp the concept of not trying to confuse people, but just like any site you have to actually read at some point.

As for the album images, they link to the image url because we use shadowbox in order for visitors to see a larger image. Is shadowbox not useful and purposeful for this site?

Thanks for the feedback, are the image load times slow on the browse pages with the thumbnails, or the load times when clicking to view the full size artwork? More info would be very helpful!

 

I love it you got some good reviews on Vinyl like Devin the Dude older albums not in production.

 

The black text on the gold navigation would be better off with a white/lighter color with a dark color stroke around it. The img banner of of Text is hard to read and as well as the follow up text "Rap Music Guide is..." needs a background. Also your site is very image intensive which causes it to load slow. You can achieve alot of the same look and feel with CSS.

Thats a good idea to change the navigation to black txt instead of the images. We've played around with different backgrounds for the txt, but it takes away from the content. You're also the first to complain that the image banner of txt is hard to read, could you monitor colors be messed up? What does it look like on your end?
