Do you buy advertising?

Just curious how many of you buy advertising for your website for an article I'm writing, so I'm starting a poll.

If you'd like to provide more info, tell me what you buy or tell me why you don't.

 

I'm very careful with buying advertising and i dont buy much, mostly cos it doesnt seem to have much effect. But now and then i spend a few dollars on Entireweb's speedyads.

 

I used to buy ads, adwords, facebook, and banners from various blogs. But I don't buy on a regular basis, just when I have a campaign.

 

I bought some links in the past but not for traffic, but for seo. It's good

 

adwords and email marketing

 

I prefer to rely on affiliate networking.

 

I don't buy any advertising. I prefer other methods.

 

Rather buy permanent linkbuilding, not just recuring sponsored links

 

I never usually buy any form of advertising. Personally my favored method is word of mouth, it can go so much further for such a little investment to make that initial customer happy and talking about our services

 

I buy banners and mod sigs .

 

I dont buy advertising long term, but I do buy when launching a product. So I answered yes to your poll.

 

atm I use adwords but like Brett, only because Im launching something new. I dont use it on an ongoing basis

 

Maybe yes, for a short time and when really needed.

 

never bought ads, i dont think it giving to much good results, maybe adwords and yahoo ads can be good but there is alot to learn about how to do it right

At the moment I don't, but I am thinking about doing it, so I might start soon.

 

Yes I purchase advertising in my local area for my consulting services and do some adwords and Miva.

Buying advertising can be a great move for any website but you have to make sure that you are aiming to get your hands on targetted traffic otherwise you would be better drinking the money. I personally only buy image ads as i produce all of my own content and submit to countless article directories to get the site out there on the www.

 

So yes, do you buy? I just need to clarify for your reply.

 

I don't prefer buying one.. I would look for any alternative if possible.. but if the situation ask for it, then I guess i'll buy one.. though I will make sure that it is from legit firm and has good reputation..
