Hey. I just wanted to know if same content on same IP but different domains is considered duplicate ? Basically, I have two blogs and I do sometimes give credit of a Post to the original blog and post on the second blog. Both the blogs are on same IP . Is it a danger in any way ?
Duplicate content remains duplicate content no matter how many IPs / domains it's published on. Use content spinner, different templates, different counters to make the content at least 50-60% unique.
I am not saying that. You did not understand properly. I just said, that the sites I post on, Link back to my site. So of course that's not considered duplicate. But I have seen many people saying Duplicate content on same site ( Penalization ) harms more than other sites ( filteration ). Of course Google considers different domains as different and cannot penalize you for it . But for the same IP, I basically just want to ask if Google considers posts on same IP as duplicate too? It should not actually but I just want to be sure. So basically what I want to know is If Google considers same IP as same site too ?
content should not be duplicate, it is harmful for your website, duplicate content also known as spamming, i will always prefer only fresh content to the website to the rank a website.
You people are again not understanding the topic. Giving credit to a post where-ever posted is considered sharing not duplicate. Like we can share our stories at Yahoo buzz and give out full links. I just want to know the IP Consideration. Anyone ?
'You people'. The answers you have been given are perfectly adequate, and it's YOU who seems to have a learning difficulty. Duplicate content is duplicate content. Providing attribution links makes no difference. It's like saying "OK, I stole that diamond from the jewellers, but I told everyone which jewellers it was stolen from, so that's ok, isn't it'? Er... doh. If you want to know whether Google penalizes duplicate content on one IP more than on separate IPs, how about you put a call in to Google Sheesh. You people.
Huh. The original content is what matters. Your trying to tell me if someone shares a 100 link pages from my website on other websites, then Google will penalize me for it ? Of course the original content is mine and I can't be penalized for it . You haven't seen other's view about it . It's sad that you have about 2000 posts and your saying Duplication is penalization. Let me clear you mate : Duplication on different websites is Filteration from SERPS while if on same website is Penalization. You would find many people agreeing with this fact.
I misunderstood your question first, I'm sorry. Since hosting companies host hundreds of sites on the same IP I think Google doesn't consider same IP as the same site. So you won't get a penalty but backlinks from the same IP will have less power SEO-wise. Hopefully this is the answer you're looking for
The OP seems to be one of the SEO guru that DP have Looks like its better to leave him alone with his very own unique theories. Why are you asking questions here when you know this much?(your question is pointless anyway) You are having a very hard time understanding a simple thing. "It's sad that you have about 2000 post....." In that case buddy,It is also sad to see guys like you thinking they know it all. And please address us with something better that "You people" . I think members who spend their time answering pointless questions from guys like you deserve something better. Cheers.
Hi, In my own experiences, duplicated contents would refer to same contents appearing on the same domain. If search engines find the same contents on different domains, the latter would usually marked as low value ones and might be not indexed totally. all the best,
Well. I don't find anything wrong with "You People" . It's just me addressing those who answered me 1st. 3-4 people did so it's nothing wrong by saying them "people" since that's what they are like us. And I never said I know it all, otherwise I wouldn't be here asking. Sorry if my words hurt anyone but for me there's nothing wrong with them. And thanks Zexy. Probably your the only one who understood it well. Thanks again for the answer. I got it!.
