This is the code for different date format <?php // Assuming today is March 10th, 2001, 5:16:18 pm, and that we are in the // Mountain Standard Time (MST) Time Zone $today = date("F j, Y, g:i a"); // March 10, 2001, 5:16 pm $today = date("m.d.y"); // 03.10.01 $today = date("j, n, Y"); // 10, 3, 2001 $today = date("Ymd"); // 20010310 $today = date('h-i-s, j-m-y, it is w Day'); // 05-16-18, 10-03-01, 1631 1618 6 Satpm01 $today = date('\i\t \i\s \t\h\e jS \d\a\y.'); // it is the 10th day. $today = date("D M j G:i:s T Y"); // Sat Mar 10 17:16:18 MST 2001 $today = date('H:m:s \m \i\s\ \m\o\n\t\h'); // 17:03:18 m is month $today = date("H:i:s"); // 17:16:18 ?> Code (markup):
hi, I can`t change the date format. Date format is coming from a class. This is what i have got so far $pieces = explode("-", $date); // $date format is 2010-11-30 $year1 = $pieces[0]; $month1 = $pieces[1]; $day1 = $pieces[2]; $arr = array("1" => "January","2" => "February","3" => "March","4" => "April","5" => "May","6" => "June","7" => "July","8" => "August","9" => "September","10" => "October","11" => "November","12" => "December"); $newmonth = strtr($month1,$arr); $mynewdate = "$day1-$newmonth-$year1"; // i managed to turn it to 30-November-2010 PHP:
if you use $mynewdate = date('l j F Y'); you will get today's date you will need to specify the date as well to get a time other than the current date $mynewdate = date('l j F Y', $date);
Here, here is exactly what i use. <?php date("l jS F Y"); ?> PHP: That will display the date identical to this: Wednesday 26th January 2011 EDIT: http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php Thanks, Michael
