I am thinking about buying either a Keyword Discovery or Wordtracker tool. Do you use them? Do you find them performing well? Please, share your suggestions. Which one is better? If I am running compaign for only one website - is it better to purchase only monthly subsription?
my personal suggestion: use only AdWords keyword tool. The problem is not only wasting money, but also that you need to spend your time in other things instead of learning and integrating these tools with AdWords.
I have been using this tool actually, I have generated about 200 keywords - that's about it, while the bid raises above $3.00 per targeted word. So, I am trying to consider all possible ways to generate relevant keywords.
is what I told you: forget the 3rd party tool, it will not solve your problem. It will make you waste your money and make you wasting time on something that will not solve your problem and that your could be using your precious time to learn how to really solve the min bid $3.00 issue. basically if you have a keyword that the mean bid = $3.00 means: 1) No one who type this keyword in Google is interested in clicking in your ad and/or 2) The landing page you pointed (Destination URL) is not relevant or do not have enough content related for this keyword. I would pay attention on #1 - review your ad if it is really interesting for who search for this keyword in Google Search.
using keyword generators is only as good as regard to cost. I find it best to plan keywords on paper to ensure they are specifically targetting to the product/service being advertised. This helps improving conversion rate.
Well, that does not seem to be the case - as I have 5.26 CTR, which is relatively good on these keywords. The issue might be is that the keywords are very industry specific - so everybody is bidding on them. I am operating in custom essay writing industry - keywords like "custom essay writing service" are the most expensive ones still enjoing high CTR. I am trying to generate more narrow keywords - this seems to be the problem. Thank you for your suggestions.
Do you mean that it is pointless to use these tools to generate narrow but low bid keywords? I am just trying to get to the point. If I am trying to sell custom written essays - a keyword like "to kill the mocking bird essay" is infrequent and is more cheap, this is the one I should strive for instead of "custom essay writing service" that is very expensive? Am I understanding the concept right?
what is the period that you're taking for your 5.26 CTR? today? $3.00 min bid normally is related to a bad quality score.
Quality Score is re-evaluated every 24 hours. If you have a 5.26% CTR, you could potentially be saving a great deal more on clicks. I suggest you clean up your landing page as chances are you're using a squeeze site. Naturally, bid on relevant keywords as well.
I'll use wordtracker here and there, primarily becuase I work in so many different markets. If I were only working in one market/site I would most likely just use the AdWords tool.
Thank you for your suggestions. anyway, I have purchased 1 month access to Keyword Discovery and the tool works just great. I would never under any circumstances would have found so many keywords with AdWords tool. It saves a lot of time too. So, just sharing own experiences.
Just keep in mind that more keywords does not equal more sales. It's all about the RIGHT keywords. Best of luck and keep us posted.
Many search engines have their own keyword generator. But do you think this service worth the money? You shall have an outline of the keywords before designing and during building your site. After the site is done, keywords are already there. Why you want to spend money on keyword generator?
I am promoting website through pay per click advertising, so keywords are not integrated into the website, but I am creating a list to adjust to the search trends. I hope that the service is worth the money and really hope that I am on the right track. We will see as time flows.
Could you go into detail about RIGHT keywords? Really need help, as I am somewhat lost here. By the way, is it possible to see someone's well established Adwords campaign just on some product - any product - just to see how they go about those keywords?
The right keywords are the ones that convert. You won't know what they are until you get started and start generating sales/conversions. Once you find what's working build off of it. In terms of a seeing a well established/successful AdWords campaign...I doubt you'll find anyone willing to share that info.
A free tool you can use for keyword suggestions is the Ask search engine. Look at the 'narrow your search' list on the right hand side when you do a search.
Look at your logs to see how people are finding you site now - that is the best keyword generator that I have found - although you will have to filter out some of the weird ones.
