This is basic stuff and is probably best answered by internet searches. You need to get conversing in forums related to your niche, you need to submit articles about your website, comment on blogs related to your niche. Basically everything from the ground up that you can imagine to advertise your website. It is going to take months to see results so if you're not wanting to start with PPC and don't want to pay someone to do it for you then be prepared to spend some quality time building your online presence because that is what you need and what it is all about.
One other thing that you can try is to grow your Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube following and began building relationships there. After you have large substantial list, then you can begin sharing your link with them.
Do a search of "Niche + Forums". Join forums and put your link in your signature. Remember to follow forum guidlines. You may not be able to direct link to product sales page. Then Post and be happy.
Lotz of traffic doesn't mean actually more sales. It depends on what you sell, and how much it is wanted.
Are there forums where fitness things are discussed? Participate and leave your signature. It works wonders - at least for me!
did you promoting your affiliate link when answering the question at yahoo answer ? I don't think yahoo will allow it... The best way to promoting your site is using Search Engine....google is the best source of traffic....make sure your site is SEO friendly..... focused on your site on page SEO.. and then keep link building to your site... you also can use blog commenting article marketing video marketing

Try to get back links from other sites. This need your participation in commenting , forum posting, article submission etc.Making enough traffic is not an easy job.Insist on this kind of link building efforts.
Do a link building, add backlinks on signatures, submit articles to article submission sites and upload video regarding your website on video submission sites.
