How do I know if my ads are working?

I have four different ads across four different domains. Because of the low activity and earnings, I'm not sure that the ads are working on my highest-trafficked site. How can I verify that the ads on my website are connected to my AdSense account?

Ask Google to click on them for you and check

Simple, you click them. Record the time and your ip number and send an email saying that you were only testing to:
    adsense.verification (AT) gmail . com
(of course, edit out the spaces and replace with real @ sign)

and they will remove the clicks from your account within 24 hours.

There are also click verification businesses around, which are certified to test-click on your ads, to verify that everything is workig as planned. But you will probabaly not afford to hire those, since you mentioned your earnings being low.

    Happy clicking!

Okay, but when I see the "number of clicks" for a day in my AdSense, how do I know that it was for sure MY click and that I didn't just happen to get one click from somebody else that day?

I don't know what you mean. Imagine the following scenario: on November 11, 2010, I click one of my ads on jasonswett.net and since my ads are broken, it doesn't show up in AdSense. On that same day, someone ELSE clicks an ad at lunchhub.com and since those ads at lunchhub.com are not broken, a click shows up in AdSense. In this scenario, it looks like my click worked when really it didn't.

Did you setup different channels? You can track which ones are getting clicked on and if the ads are showing up they are pretty much working.

Thank you for an actual helpful answer, VisionAffiliate. Project Mobius, please don't respond to any more of my posts.

Yes, I do have different channels but I don't even really understand what channels are. How do I track which ones are getting clicked on?

if you doubt on seeing your ads, view your ads via a proxy site, enable js, if you see different ads where you located google adsense, it means that your ads are running
