Revenue from other than adsense

Guys,
I heard that technical discussion boards are very less paying websites comparing to others. so what categories of websites can pay high? and what all are the other ways to generate revenue from website other than Adsense

 

Some big guys says that Bidvertiser can be an alternative to Adsense. Also try Adbrite next to it.

 

ok but I meant to say any other way than pay per click and pay per sale. is there something those pay for just displaying ads/?

 

Yes there is. Its called CPM based ads or simply cost per 1000 impressions based banner advertising.

Its where you only have to place ads on your website and for every page views or impressions you keep earning money. It wont care about any clicks on them.

But these ad networks needs a website to have a lot of page views per month. It goes in around 3000 page views per day (value click media) to 500,000 per month (tribal fusion), these requirements depends on the ad network.

i heard some where that technical websites specially technical forums can not be paid as much some other websites can. like a forum is having 50 k daily visitors will be paid less if some other site have same no. of visitors . is it true ?/

 

That depends on the network, you need to ask them. They will let you know when you apply anyways.
