Just got this email from "alert@childservices.org.uk" . I've just searched the net about this and several people have reiceved this before and been told it's a scam, even some guy in the USA has said they've recieved it. Also i've even gone to www.childservices.org.uk and the site does not work, The domain is parked. The email is asking for £275 within 7 days. But people have been saying it's a scam.

Just wondering what you guys think about this , if you've recieved it etc

Yea, I worked out it was a scam after i searched the telephone number and "my msn id" to see that others have recieved it. What got me is that gmail didnt think it was scam so i didnt get the red bar accross the top of my account saying this may be a scam. I've told them its a scam anyway

I don't get how this would ever work. After all, if you are dumb enough to fall for it, you're too dumb to write a check.

I do not fully understand this email, but if you guys are clearly worried about this, then you must
have commited some type of crime. I have gathered this much that this email is directed toward
people from childservices that have commited some type of crime. I doubt the court will ever send
anyone some type of payment email for anything. If you owe the court for anything, then you
would most likely get a notice directly from your court, or contact the county clerks office,
and they would know more about this since they would know your case.

do not fall for these bogus emails.

if in doubt, contact the source directly.

That is a pretty interesting scam. I'm also wondering if the individual(s) sending this email around are trying to target people they feel might be guilty of something. Honestly, if that email ever came to my inbox I would forward it to about every government agency I could find. I know we are all trying to make a buck, but trying to scam people while claiming to represent an agency fighting child exploitation (that's what I got out of that long loonng email) is a new level of wrong.

I am sure this has been said again and again but.... Do not send money or give information to a mysterious organization JUST because they know your email address..

It's one of those things where you might of said something by mistake or don't remember if you did. It kind of freaks you out, but after 5 minutes you realize it's a scam. I've had this happen with another type of email back in the day. I was 13 or 14 and someone said my credit card might of been stolen and I actually asked my dad if this is true. I thought maybe they held on to a credit card like a social security card. Something that catches you off guard, but once I told my dad why I asked he just laughed and told me not to believe my emails unless you know the person.

Yea pretty much is a scam for many reasons:

    1) msn.as44.6657.gfr329.com - not my host domain
    2) - not my email
    3) - does not exist
    4) www./http://childservices.org.uk - does not exist
    5) - does not exist

When I used to have a freemail from hotmail I used ot get these every week. It is quite hilarious. I do not see why you should be worried it sounds like this is for a crime against a child of some sorts. Unless you have done this I do not see why you would think it is legit. This is just as funny as the "hey a king in Africa wants to wire you free money" scheme
