Video editing software needed

    Hi guys

I need an advice to choose a video editing software to create some video clips for youtube.

I'm a noob in video creation at all, so i don't need anything complicated.

I have tried windows movie maker, and it seems pretty much just fine for me. However my biggest problem with it is that i can't add another overlay of video or still image.

I need something as simple as windows movie maker, but with a bit more features.

Especially, i want to be able to add a watermark logo (image) on the video while it also has subtitles and a description text at the same moment of time.

please advice what video editing software to download (preferably free thing) that is easy to work with and provides some wider possibilities than windows movie maker does.

    Thanks

    Hi
I suggest a sony vegas software application. It is very simple video editing and has transition effects and multilayer meaning you can add subtitles and watermarks. You can download some video tutorial on youtube or lynda.com.

    regards,
    clem

easy to use and works pretty well for me, it embeds many special effects. I had made a video

with it and the video got award, that's pretty cool. Here is the free download link

I would suggest to start with Sony Vegas. Once you understand that stuff and you want some more go with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Camtasia and the others can be expensive and the learning curve can be high. There's a special on right now for a great
video (and audio) editing program called VideoPad Editor. Very reasonable, good support and videos to learn it (it's quite simple) and use it.

You can try the software for 14 days for free but the special will be over after Decemeber so if you want to try it out free go here:

    www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html (not an affiliate link)

and choose "Get it Now" (Red button) and put it through its paces.

I bought it and it's a great program.

    Hope that helps :)
