Hello dear friends, I've sold an digital download product (php script) to scammer (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=441895 - Username : shaandater ) he got it and installed it and even for 3 days was asking for support and help now i got email from paypal saying that there is Unauthorized payment from that guy done to me. I've now - email screen shots sent from my paypal email id to his payment email id with download link of the product and term of sale and order number and some other more informations - some proves (screen shots) of his PM's that he asked to buy and paid and got support - some screen shots proves he did the same game with the other people here in the forum i've uploaded all to them and written good msg explain that he is scammer and did the same to many other people. what do you think paypal in this case will do ? thanks everybody
Wow, that's the second time this week that guy was called out as a scammer. No one looks at iTrader anymore or does their research before doing transaction? Shame. It could go either way really. I've been in a lot of situations with scammers and I had all the proof necessary but sometimes I lost.
If you are the seller of a digital good then from what I know you should be alright and PayPal will likely close the case in your favor, especially given the information you have provided them. If you haven't already, be sure to post on this user's iTrader!
I am sure PayPal will close the case in your favor. From what I've seen/experienced, they rarely go against the seller of a digital good unless there is a pattern of complaints or something else going on. Since this person probably has a few red flags with Paypal, and you have provided ample proof that the transaction went smoothly and you acted in good faith, they will probably just tell the buyer that charge was made by someone who had access to the account and close the case.
thank you everybody for informations. but looks like paypal support scammers very well, where anyone easily login to his account with proxy or vpn to pay then say OH it wasn't me ! they closed it for his favor even after i sent them 4 proofs that he asked to buy - paid - asked for support - he did the same to other people - using fake name of world known director (so funny) i'm very frustrating
it happened to me recently and they still reversed the payment. It's hard to win those kinds of disputes sadly
The 1st thing i do before doing any transaction on any forum is check the iTrader that will give a very good indication on how reliable that person is,if it was a digital product which i think it is i would not hold my breath in getting your money back from PayPal its in the TOS and alas i feel you wont be covered.I could be wrong though
i will but not sure it will works the game is very easy open account, verify it by vcc login with proxy or vpn buy digital product then say sorry it wasn't me ! paypal support you getting money back and seller go hell once he got money back boooom will transfer it to another account or withdraw it by any how, saying thank you paypal for supporting scam. that is how it works ... anyway i will do now call them and let see what they gonna do with direct contact
It's really just too late to dispute it...again. Paypal has made their decision and they will not reverse it.

People from those countries are often professional scammers, (or at least they are so many people in those countries that you often read about scam with people from those countries) I have been scammed by people from india/pakistan in order for them to earn fraudulently $1 - $2 so if they are ready to scam for such a low amount, imagine with everything else..
It sounds like the buyer was useing a stolen credit card, bank account or paypal account to pay you. He has paid you with stolen money which has been reversed by the real account holder. Paypal has received the reversal from the real owners financial institute and removed the payment from your account. You now have an open Unauthorized claim, really no point responding to it, you are selling digital goods and you are not covered under Paypal's seller protection policy. You will loose the unauthorized claim and the money will be permanently removed from your account. Few digital goods merchants remain in business due to the high volume of fraud. You really need to know what you are doing to sell digital goods. The transaction needs to be verified by you before you deliver the product.

Open a non-received dispute and say the "Physical goods were never delivered." Do not mention they were virtual goods. Ask for tracking information. Seller will be unable to provide it. That is correct the majority of the time. PayPal will side with seller for virtual goods. However this is an unauthorized transaction. Sellers will lose this dispute 99.9% of the time if it's virtual goods. If the charge was made by someone else other than a family member, then that's exactly what an unauthorized dispute is and the buyer will be refunded. thanks for that, but i am the buyer, i paid bin price and paid it right then, i didn't even give it a thought as the seller is a premium member, but i haven't heard anything!
I've gone through this before with another digital goods product several years ago. Unfortunately paypal didin't protect me against the scammer even though I had every proof in the book that I was scammed. They claimed unauthorized use of their account by someone else. Funny how that reason always seems to win. Their policy at the time was that there was no protection again digital goods and to sell them at your own risk. I lost about $200 and of course was extremely angry with paypal. I suppose now they are changing things up a bit and will be adding an additional digital goods service to their payment platform which involves somewhat of fraud protection. (Sorry can't post live links yet =( ) If you want to read the guide, go to the papyal website and type in digital goods in the search box. Click on the first listing then scroll down to where it says Fraud Protection. Click that then download the "Best Practices for Selling Digital Goods" guide. After reading the guide, I'm still not convinced but I guess we shall see...
Kind of your fault for selling him the item when in his iTrader info, a seller has stated: "Jul 17th 2010 Mother f*cker Scammer don't trust him" I personally would not have sold to him. Though hopefully it was only a small amount of money you lost. I sympathize, as I understand that might be how you make your money. However you really do have to watch out for people like this, they are the scum of the Earth. Maybe PayPal need to investigate more into policy regarding virtual items. Though it is very hard to be partial with virtual items, as they are what they are; virtual. At least with physical goods, items can be tracked, whereas you cannot really track physically the item being sent by a 3rd party source.
