Moving from blogger to self hosting.

I have a blog hosted by blogger. It is on a paid domain purchased through Blogger. Is it possible to move entire blog to my paid host and get it hosted on wordpress platform without losing the existing permalinks of blog posts and page rank?
    Thanks.

If you not sure how to do it, find the webmaster service to do the job.

Yes its possible. In wordpress there is an "Import" section where you can enter in Blogger details and import the Blog. you would have to use something called Redirection plugin to catch and redirect the traffic.

Or mode your .htaccess file to send all traffic refferring from the old domain to the new domain (which is probably your easier and more effective route).

Well said - This option of importing posts would certainly work. it would give you an xml file that could be imported to your new blog.

    cheers

Yes. It's possible. As long as you use custom domain, you wouldn't loose your PR. Because the backlinks was linked to your domain. not to blogger domain. Blogger just as hosted company. except you use blogspot.com as a domain.

I have moved my site to into self hosted. and i still have PR 3, and now i reach 55K for alexa.

Try to look this tutorial ===>> http://www.shoutmeloud.com/how-to-m...nent-redirection-without-loosing-traffic.html

Hope this will help your problem
