recently i have purchased a domain from NAME.COM and web host from BIGROCK.COM. Now i have purchased a WORDPRESS theme from gorillathemes.com . The problem is , i am new to wordpress. I don't know how to install that theme into my website. please tell me how to link the wordpress with my domain name or hosting ?
First of all you need to link your domain name to your hosting. - go to you domain management and search for Domain Name Server (DNS) - Change this to your hosting DNS I'll try my best to guide you here step by step :L) . Let me know when you're stuck
If you have cpanel then let me know its very easy to install through cpanel... Just login to cpanel and click on fantastico and look for Wordpress on the left column... click on that and fill the form and click install you are done... wordpress is installed. Hope this helps...
Hello , ya i do have a cpanel , i had clicked on Fantastico de lux . inside fantastico i had clicked on wordpress. Also i have installed wordpress(3.0.1) inside it. but it shows Current installations: / (3.0.1) Visit site Remove thats it. now what to do.

Using FTP When you install from Wordpress admin go to > appearance > themes > install themes (tab) > Upload > then choose your gorillathemes > click install

Did you mean , i have to go to wordpress.com and then i have to log in or you meant that i have to go into wordpress inside dfantastico? well ... when i log into my wordpress account and click on appearance--> themes , i cannot see any 'install themes' tab there . please explain sir.. i am new to wordpress.
From wordpress admin is the easy way to install theme..but if you familiar with FTP just simply drag the theme's folder to this following directory "yourdomainname.com/wp-content/themes/" then go to wp admin to activate the theme.
Did you manage to log in to your website admin already..? In there you will find the Install Themes tab.. appearance > themes > install themes (tab) > Upload > browse and select your gorillathemes zip file > click install now
i have registered myself into wordpress.com .. by 'website admin ' do you mean i have to register into wordpress.org ?
You don't have to register at wordpress.com Just type in yourdomainname.com/wp-admin to your browser. where yourdomainname is the domain name you purchase from name.com You will be directed to wordpress log in area: username: your username you put in while installing wordpress using fantastico password: your password
