Are Squeeze Pages Still Effective?

Just curious to know how many of you still you squeeze pages to capture emails. I though of creating a squeeze page for my one website, but I kind of feel that with so many squeeze pages out there, that alot of people now a days just create a extra email address to sign up for things, and then basically go to their exta email account once in a while to just delete the inbox...

So I quess the next question is, for those using squeeze pages how successful are you with list building/email campains :)

It depends on your business but squeeze pages are only effective if you want to capture email addresses and if you requite minimal information like email and name. But for some businesses it will look too spammy... if you know what I mean. However, once again it does depend on your product. If it is marketing related, then it should be fine unless you are targeting actual offline companies which will need more information.

if helps you pre-sell your user; also depends on your traffic source and offers
from personal experience, if you are doing interruption marketing, an attention grabbing squeeze page is a must

The more you sell yourself instead of the product, the better quality of the email you will get.
I have seen that putting up squeeze pages for a product mostly generates bad email lists.
Though, if you got people following your blog etc and offer the ebook via that page, then you will get real email addresses because
    the people there trust you.

    Hope it helped. :)

squeeze pages work all of the time for many businesses across many niches or industries. I use squeeze pages, my competitors use squeeze pages and many affiliate marketers use squeeze pages. Squeeze pages are most effective when you offer something for free to your subscribers. Give away something like "10 tips to xxx" or "a quick quide to xxx". This free information you are giving away acts as an incentive for your subscribers to join up and will start building trust with them.

Next you need to soft-sell your customers before you blast them with an offer. Give them weekly updates with high quality information about whatever it is your selling. Once you've given away a couple weeks worth of information and have built up trust and a relationship with your subscribers then you can send them your big offer.

Squeeze pages and e-mail marketing is by far one of the most effective marketing techniques in many affiliate marketing campaigns.

Yes sir they are. But they are only as effective as the "copy" that's written on them. You can have cute pages with all of the bells and whistles and no ad copy to move them to action. It's useless.

Yes - they still work well. It just has to be something worthwhile that's being offered.

It works, but it all depends on what they get in return. If they get something they really want (for free and in exchange for their email address), then it works great.

You could have the perfect squeeze page with the most enticing offer, but if the follow up is not as equally enticing, it will all be for nought. The point is not just to have a big list... but a list that spends money on your product or service.

In my opinion, you've got a chicken and egg scenario here. The follow up is crucial to success... but without the list, there's no one to follow up on.

You've got to get them both right. ;)

It still works. Good return ratio for amount of work required. You need to have a good list with decent followups though.

yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It may be more about the squeeze page offer and content than what we call it.

Yes, they are very effective and it does depend on what you
offer in exchange for the email and/or name etc.

squeeze pages work. it boils down to your unique selling proposition... what can you give subscribers that others can't? if you can give them something valuable in exchange for their emails then it will work. next is to make an effort to keep your subscribers... this requires a good 'follow up' plan...

As long as you don't put a bunch of adverts on the page it will work. The prospect either signs up or leaves and it runs constantly. Make sure the your goal is to squeeze the name and email out of them and not to SELL. If you try to SELL on the squeeze page, you will have a very low conversion.

That is so true.. That why you offer other deals at the Thank you page offer, with the free offer links to download. Matter how people think if it does not work, it does in fact, many Internet Marketer use it to build their list and promote future products or service as followup, keeping in touch with them, also offer newsletter with tips and stuff like ezine is very powerful tool, and if you the floor to promote anything you want on it, and if you think about it, you can sell ads space in ezine too, another way of making money.

If top marketers using it then this most be effective. Also the squeeze is just 30% of the success, the rest is copy and value of reward.
