    Dear DP users...

It's interesting. When typing : link:http://www.mywebsite.com I get lots of pages, is the order of those pages are worth something ? I mean - if I see that the first page is for example my "about us" page, is it means this is what google think most relevant page on my website?

If so, how can I use it to my seo campaign.

    Thanks in advance,

    Guy.

p.s - if there is a difference between google and other search engines like Yahoo! I think it's important to bring if up in this thread and not in another thread on Yahoo forum for exaple...

Both the selection and the order of backlinks shown is random, I believe. Some people prefer to use Yahoo's linkdomain operator as that tends to give more results.

Yahoo is the only site worth looking at for your backlinks. The order (using Yahoo) in general may be related to how important the links are.

    Hey Mad4,

Do you have any proof for that? First pages are what? relevant more to the terms of your area of operation? Old pages ? more content than other pages?

    Or just your feelings... ;)

When I look at links to my sites on Yahoo and MSN they very roughly correspond to the links that I believe are the most important to me. Whether this is really the case is hard to say I guess.
