Greetings Hello Dear DP users. I am starting off with online work for which i need my PayPal account verified, but i am a student for which credit cards arent issued unless against a FD. I have put up list of banks available to me.Please give me an advice as to which bank is better suitable for me to issue a student CC or CC against a Fixed deposit and why. List of Indian Banks available to myself. AXIS Bank SBI Canara Bank Corp Bank ICICI Bank Syndicate Bank Bank of Baroda HDFC Bank Let me give me my position and some extra info!!! 1) I have a SBI acc since a couple years or so. I have good relation there too! I have heard that there is a particular SBI Advantage Card (CC) against a FD of 10,000 INR.Is it true and will i get it easily. Does anyone have that card working with PayPal. 2) I have also heard that AXIS bank gives us a student CC against depo of 25,000 INR. Are the axis bank service good enough to get me accepted with PayPal with that CC. Plz note I dont have a acc with them, only with SBI ihave it. 3) I dont mind opening a new account in a bank, even i dont mind putting a high amount of FD but i just want to make sure that CC provided by the Bank will be accepted on PayPal P.S I had a PayPal account made years ago but did not verify it, i am ruing the fact that i could have verified it when PayPal was less harsh on Indian accounts. Simply maintain good reputation in HDFC bank and they will give you CC for free without any Deposit. And also HDFC is best for using a CC.
I am going with the SBI advantage card which gives CC for a deposit of 20,000INR. Is this a good CC, I need it only for paypal and not for personal use. With great difficulty I got the deposit amount. Plz help me out!
You can verify your paypal account with the help of your bank account too. I don't know why you only need credit card to verify your paypal account!
for any regular/ monthly payment you need to add your CC with paypal . so bank account verified paypal doesn't work there . like payment for Godaddy.com
If you open a bank account with HDFC Bank you don't need a credit card. They have a feature called "Net Safe". You can register your debit card to it and create as many as VCC you want which works for paypal and almost all online purchases which needs cc.
