.me premium auction at sedo from Nov 11th to Nov 18th.

Do you have any of your names listed ?

How to submit your .me domain for that auction ?

    Thanks,
    Ashish

"point.me is a premium domain name. It is scheduled for release through auction on Sedo online auction at 11-Nov-2010."

Are you suggesting Shawn should buy this and drop or rediredt digitalpoint.com?

About the OP questions, no, I decided stop playing with extensions like this and stick to dot COM exclusively, while the information to submit your .ME domain must be somewhere inside SEDO, its forum, or delivered to your email inbox if you have already an account with them.

digitalpoint.com is a million dollar domain, .me are pretty much worthless... only fool would change a million dollar domain to a .me IMO

A .info is worth more then a .me

Sedo should call it the "lets see who we can sucker auction"

.Me has no commercial value at all, they were a gimmick to try and get the regular people to buy them and start their own personal site... The myspace crowd...

No he/she is just excited and trying to say if DP was just starting their business then it would have been betterof with point.me than digitalpoint.com

I just cudnt find it, i wish i had a direct link. will search again...

not really. depends on the domain and stuff.

If digitalpoint.com was undeveloped it would be worth nothing because it's just another two word stick together domain name. If I apply occam's razor, the word "digital" is not a nessasity because what if the extention ".point" or ".digital" comes out in the near future? is the owner willing to secure digital.point or point.digital? and "com" is also not a nessasity because "com" is not a word.

Imagine if I own point.com, I could create the digital.point.com subdomain!

point.me on the other hand, doesn't need to be developed to be worth something. It's a single word, it's a phrase, it's easy to remember, it short and it geo target like a gtld.

I could also create the digital.point.me subdomain!

It's virtually impossible to recreate such a phrase on another extention because me.point is no better then point.me

Why create a sub domain when you have the .com? like I said a .info has way more value then a .me.

When was the last time you been on a .me site??? I can't even remember visiting a single .me, and have never seen them come up in SE

eh..? The thread seems to take a different turn now from what OP actually started. Anyway, when it comes to comparing between dp and point.me or whatever, dp certainly beats it down. In fact, I even wonder what part of your mind makes you compare between these. Mind you, it's not just about TLDs or sounds-brandable stuff, it is about how well established a particular domain is. Does it make any sense comparing facebook.com with face.com or book.com? Hell NO!

What make .com so "special" then the rest ? Isn't domaining all about sniping the shortest memorable single word web-addresses you could possibly get ?

Domain names are designed to replace IP addresses.
Domain names are designed to be memorable.

point.me is more memorable then digitalpoint.com

Also, what does "digital point" means seriously ?

.info is a 4 character abbreviation of the word "information".
.me is a 2 character word of the word "me".

.me wins because it's shorter and more memorable then a .info

    .me sucks, get .co =)

I really have faith in .co domains..

Already sold some good ones on sedo such as jum.co just few months ago and made a decent profit.

My current .co domain fio.co is doing well with currently 1 bidder and just under 2 days left on sedo at $259 =) hope it goes up since its a very short and catchy premium domain.

    Can be seen here: http://www.sedo.co.uk/search/detail...sub=22&partnerid=14456&et_cid=13&et_lid=17473

so yeh, this is a good example.. I hardly see any .me domains sell high, unless they are 1 - 4 characters or with keyword meanings in them.
