Is ONLINE INCOME legal or illegal..?

I just need to know is this online income legal or illegal

Because I am from INDIA and where i have to pay the tax..

If this is illegal where should i have to register to make it legal and its very important to me please say your suggestions..

I earn some $$ and in the bank statement thy are asking where r u getting those money ... so i said " i am working online " .

This isn't a issue but i should be ready for everything thy ask.. so Say where should i have to register and where should i have to go to make it legal and what all forms i have to fill..

I'm from India too and my bank has never asked these kinda things.. earning online is totally legal.. you should have you pan card and should pay taxes on time (if you are earning that much)

and you need not to worry as me and my bf both are earning online and not having any prob as it is totally LEGAL

 

Oho but i just getting around 50,000 - 75,000 per month and i have added State bank of India in my Paypal and they ask where are you getting the money from.. so i am afraid.. whr shud i hav to register and whr shud i hav to pay the tax for this income ..

 

You will have to pay tax on that money. If you do that, it will be legal.

no prob dude, you can pay tax online too.. it would be better you hire any lawyer and he 'll do all the formalities involved in your behalf (we do the same)

Why using SBI? Use a better bank like HDFC. They won't ask anything from you. And you will just need to fill up income tax.
Even if they ask you can say all these comes from freelancing and most of them don't know anything about these things.

 

If you're getting 50-75k then you might want to register as a business and get a tax break.

It does not matter what country you are in, at the end of year add up your earnings, make a balance sheet showing your earnings and your business expenses, take it to an accountant, and he will take care of it, that is pretty much universal and I am sure that is the same way in India or China or wherever..

Not paying tax does not make your income illegal per se.

 

you have to pay taxes if you are earning income. just find a auditor and setup a small firm. you can do it from home and no other employees you need to recruit. you need to do some registrations. as you said you are from india, some of the income sources are illegal. if you just provide web services then there is nothing to worry. you need PAN number will not cost much to get it if you do not have. you need to file IT returns every year. You have to pay taxes and maintain accounts properly.

It is as the money comes from abroad.

 

I have account with HDFC. I deposited $100 cheque and they asked me the sources. It is a RBI rule for them to know the sources and type of income. there is no difference between banks.

This is not right buddy. If you cannot help then at least do not threaten people.

 

It's legal, but you must do legal business. And on tax, well, if you work on your own, they may treat you as a company boss, but don't let them do that, self-employment will get lower tax rate.
