Apart from the obvious copyright lawsuit, you do absolutely no access checking of anything, evaluate all HTML and Javascript sent to any receiver, and the whole thing is a flaming giant security hole. Don't buy this. Terrible.
Have you ever heard of roundcube? I'm pretty sure you could setup an entire email service with that for free. Does anyone actually ever buy scripts from ebay?
I dunno, but the script this guy is trying to sell doesn't filter incoming emails (if someone emails you JS it'd run), doesn't filter anything at all. You can sign up with a username of '); and guess what happens. It also allows usernames containing HTML and javascript. All input validation is done via javascript and none serverside. It's absolutely hilarious.
Hi krsix, I checked and looks like you have not even created user id at our demo site gmailers.com, then how will you be able to verify our script. Simply how can you tell "Don't buy this. Terrible. "?
I have, I made two. Try it yourself. Turn off javascript and try signing up with a username of {}${#%P%{}":":. Works just fine.
This happens due to validation, the list of validation can be added by buyer. This is just demo site, we are not including those, but we are giving those information to buyer in the installation document to setup. Thanks for looking that.
Your claims of "secure" on the front page are pretty much wrong at this point. You should be doing all validation server-side, with clientside only for providing a nice user interface.
Yes, we do have server side validation as well. You can let me know your suggestions, but do not critisize as we wanted to sell this product.
http://roundcube.net/ Not only is this free, but it doesn't look like it was designed by someone completely blind to design, not to mention English. <body onLoad="setfocus();" > <table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" bgcolor="#E9F5F7"> <tr> <td valign="top"><a href="index.html"><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> Code (markup): ...and basic HTML.
Your product is not production ready. Your product is a massive security hole. Your product should not be sold until you fix huge issues.
you're not the only one.. however, i expect he will take our suggestions to mind and download roundcube, remove all of the copyrights and violate the GPL and brand it as his own product
There are issues. The HTML is a mess, it has more holes than a swiss cheese sex orgie, and it's a huge eyesore. Nothing's in proportion at all (hugeass "email" graphic, floating colons, etc) A free product is superior to what you're offering (roundcube), you need to give reason for someone to buy your product.
Look at the bright side, any provider using this script is going to get on spamhaus' ****list in about two minutes after it goes online..
lol'd. Have +rep. If the OP finds anyone dumb enough to buy this, they're gonna be a pain in the ass to support. ("What's a PHP?") Sorry to troll, but come on. This needs work. I could write a buggy forum and charge $50 more than vBulletin, but who would buy it?
