There are plugins to do a gazillion tasks, like autoposting content, tarting up the HTML. backing up the db, making feeds unique, complete autoblogging plugins, I could go on for about 10 hours. As a newbie, you should probably start with the Bloggerhigh SEO plugin which is a free version of the 'seopressor' plugin. It will help you get your on-page seo right. autoblogging plugin
First of all, autoposting content, tarting up html, backing up your db, making feeds unique(should already be unique), autoblogging.... these are all NOT seo. I could go on with you for about 10 hours, but as a newbie, you should stop suggesting such things to people, as all I needed were basic on page SEO tasks done and "All in One SEO" seems to do the trick.
You need to up your meds, newbie. And thanks for letting us know definitively what is and isn;t involved in search engine marketing. Great to have such expert opinion from a loudmouth who can't respond civilly to a decent reply, and doesn't even know what WP plugins are useful. Don't forget to add fries to that, btw.
Ah, the kind of newbie who 'wants to get his post count up' by having the last word. For your information, dumbnut, correctly formatted HTML is important for SEO. And if you don't believe in backing up your data regularly, all your SEO efforts will be wasted. Feeds aren't unique by default, so you'll need some kind of plugin to make them unique for SEO purposes, and autoblogging is one of the main tools used by experts to promote sites, and so is part of SEO. Anything else we can help you with? Tie your shoelaces maybe? Help you with your homework? Go on then. get your post count up. Have the last word.
Although not specifically intended for SEO, I noticed someone added the Google XML Sitemap creator; good one - make sure you give those new pages and posts every leg up possible from the starting gate! Additionally, although not for SEO, the eZineArticles plug-in is good for checking KW density - I don't follow their 3% rule, but it's a handy way to ensure you do not overdo it with the KW density; and of course, it's a great way to add exposure to your articles and site Good luck and happy rankings!
Akismet - Stop Comment and Trackback SPAM Google XML Sitemaps Polldaddy Plugin - Polls and Ratings AddToAny - share your content on various social networking sites or via email.
Why, whats wrong with the Thesis theme? I was under the impression that it was the best for SEO? I use SEO Ultimate on one blog and All in one SEO on another. I think, if you're looking for features, that SEO Ultimate is best. It seems to give you more control over your SEO.
Also not SEO-related but a Cache plugin is also needed! Not sure SEO-related but: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin Don't flame me, just my humble opinion!
there can be many depending on your requirement but don't forget to use the best and already recommended 'All in one SEO' plugin : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/
I am using All in one SEO Pack, HeadSpace2 SEO, Google XML Sitemaps, SEO Smart Links, SEO Friendly Images, SexyBookmarks, they are really great
