Ok my wife went on a cruise a month ago with her girlfriends. She met a guy who worked on the boat and became facebook friends. He (Guido) is young and Italian and handsome. Well he has a "girlfriend" but my wife likes to come home and tell me how she spent her time during the day. She goes on Guido's facebook profile and snoop's around (her own words) and to make it worse she has to translate what they say from Italian into American. And she tells me all about Guido and his new/old girl friends. I got sick of hearing about Guido and told her that i don't want to hear about Guido and that I don't like her having some guy she snoops on. Furthermore she recently tried to meet him for coffee when his boat docked here in Long Beach. But thankfully the times got mixed up and they did NOT meet. So we got into a big fight. Should I care or need to listen to her talk about some dude she met? She justifies everything by saying she is being open about Guido so I should not worry. What do you all think?
I think ya probley getting worked up about nothing really but comes down to a trust issue here she should really be able to have mates on facebook without you getting upset by this she should even be able to meet up with these people if she wants to. But I see where your comming from though it would annoy me too, I dont get the need to stay in touch and meet up with some guy she met on holiday knowing its upsetting you. Tough one really mate put up an ignore the situation or cause a huge fight cos your jealous an with good reason in my opinion. Lose lose situation really as with most situations that arise when your having issues with women lol.
She has either borked Guido or she is hoping to bork Guido. Being 'open' about him is only so she doesn't have to work so hard at hiding it.
Yep, you've got a problem here. Your wife should stand by you if you feel threatened by another d00d. The fact that she talks about this d00d all of the time and is so eager and will meet him against your wishes obviously shows that you don't have much credibility. I would understand her way if it was a life long friend. I think you are check mated. There is really nothing you can do. Right now she looks like she's going to cheat and in reality there is nothing you can do to prevent it because if you stop her from Guido then another will eventually just come along and you will not get the invitation of his existence. In most cases a husband like you will just go and find an attractive spanish women to pretend to be best friends with to give her a taste of her own medicine but we all know that does not solve a thing. Respectfully tell her the truth that you feel uncomfortable with the situation and tell her its wrong and she should feel the same if you did that too. For the people who are not married. Do not marry someone who doesn't have to same track of mind like this. This could've been easily avoided. umm, noooo. She's meeting a d00d who she is thinking about all of the time(all interested in his life) and she's actively trying to meet this guy against her husbands wishes. She's going to cheat.
If she's really that intent on meeting up with him and being so involved in his life, you could always change the locks and leave her stuff on the front lawn next time she tries to go out and meet him. Being open about something like that doesn't mean you don't have to worry. It's just an easy way for her to say she was "just having coffee like she said" when she was really up to no good.
I agree with Lacey on this one - I wouldn't put up with my (male) partner doing this, and I'm quite sure he'd be quite upset too. If one person feels threatened or upset by something the other person should make an effort to put things right.
OP you're a idiot that's about to be cheated on or one that has been cheated on already . Go to a bloody gym and get yourself a hot body . Your wife is missing a something in your relationship and it's you duty to give her what she needs and not let this problem grow .
You wife is loyal don't worry as she tell you everything about the guy. But tell her not to meet, if you want to meet then you should go with her.
OP. Dude, you're losing your woman! (or you might have already lost her) Have you been spending time with your girl? Why do you think she starts to show off some Italian dude to you? Was she trying to make you feel jealous? There is a reason why she's doing this and the only thing you can do about it is to talk to her. There might be something missing in your relationship and you just don't realise that yet.
