I think right now social media is the Big thing in a way of trends, almost more important than SEO...
I totally agree, both of those are fantastic tools, facebook and twitter can both be really good if used in the right way
Facebook is definitely hot. SEO is essential, but all is needed is the basics and the rest is about link building.
Social media will be on the top, because the content is added by people not by webmasters, so you will know what's really hot out there
Not only wiki, but it's a good example, however I think it's more of a web2.0 site then social media site.
My top list for 2011: - SEO: Internet sites with relevant content and even credible links will rule the WWW - Paid search: The human nature will not change much. People are still going to use search engines to look for a particular product or service. - E-mail marketing: e-mail marketing is very practical and the costs of sending out e-mails are incredibly low. - Social network marketing: Twitter or Facebook is not just a fad. They are here to stay. It does not matter if you own a high-end business or a small one. Social network marketing guarantees to attract lots of customers your way. This is simply because social networks are the "in-thing" right now.
I will definitely go with the three of your points but now with email marketing. I don't think that email marketing is useful, how many of us read the offers dropped in our inbox daily. I don't want to quote any other example, even I find them very irritating sometimes.
