Yeah I agree... it seems the best fit and should get a good response

 

Your idea might be good for making a quick buck but I still intend to grow my website's traffic. So I don't want to scare the people away with too many ads!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Image Space Media sucks... well at least it did so for me.

I tried it out at www.moneyandshit.com and had about 20 000 image views and only 1 click that generated $ 0,03. That is a CTR of just 0,005%. Needless to say I discontinued using their service.

Otherwise my users are pretty engadged - they look on average at least 5 pictures before leaving the site.

 

Why dont you try some advertiser that dont use PPC like google, find some that pay per view. I think adbrite using that kind of advertising, and with 100 000 views you can generate decent money for start.

why don't you get a list? make something like, " get daily jokes/funny pictures about blah blah" or "get the dirtiest jokes/pictures" if you sign up. Once you get your list, you'll have people to market to, also try affiliate marketing, write some articles, add content

 

I kind of have a list - everyone can sign up for email updates of the site.
Anyhow I am planning to make it better - so that people can choose to get the email daily or weekly.

 

I suggest that you use some list building strategies

offer them daily joke to their inbox once they optin you can advertise whatever you want

also make them like your facebook page and you can advertise by sending status updates

 

Image ads have always worked great for me on funny websites, ppc is usually very low.

 

You try cpm ads, that will best suite your site, you can also try tribalfusion

 

How long did you let it run for?

 

Adsense or paid per install, like zango or loudmo.

 

Your website is about images, such funny kind of websites gets a lot of page views. Try CPM and you will earn more than adsense on your website. Try valuclickmedia.com, tribalfusion.com, burstmedia.com, cpzinteractive.com These are some big sites for CPM based advertising. Your website will get approved by them because you have a very high traffic.

 

Maybe you should consider AdSense Image ads or Amazon widget(consider for funny gadget from amazon or funny DVD)...
