Like I stated in my thread it's good for a new site or a site which is not listed in search engines yet. Why Google has an submit site form http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl when it is crap could you explain this to me nitrogen77...? In fact it makes sense to submit your site to get it faster indexed and not let Google find your link via a free directory listing somewhere on the Internet which can take ages. Another important thing is that we submit to AllesKlar.de (German), Aonde.com (French), ScrubTheWeb.com (English), WebWatch.be (Dutch) and many other search engines worldwide. These search engines do not use the results from Google, Yahoo or Bing and you really have to submit your site to get listed in them. Why would you not submit your site for $5 bucks only and get your site listed. The more listings you have the easier users can find your website and the $5 bucks is really a peanut money my friend...! Try to follow a course on SEO-WATCH.COM instead and do some research before giving bad comments in a thread which not make sense. You should know that as an SEO Consultant!!!!!
