I don't cook, but I always buy steak for the night before Christmas, then bacon for the morning, both of which my partner cooks.

On the day we eat Turkey which is traditional here, which my partner's mother cooks.

My very favorite thing to eat is a Christmas Ham, however they take 6 hours to prepare and cook and we don't have the time. :)

Christmas is coming soon; just over 7 weeks left, that is less than two months away now!

Tell me about it! I'm struggling to try and scrape enough money together for it. It's such an expensive time of year, plus you have to stock up on food and such in advance because the shops are all closed for like a week!

Hah, you're missing Thanksgiving. That's a task in itself. Then again, not sure if everyone here celebrates it.

Really depends on what you're preparing for.

As for gifts, it is just about time you start buying them - you don't want to get all stuck up when it is near the holiday ;)

I wish I could buy that much, lol; I probably could if I wasn't having to be responsible for everything else - I have to buy an aircon ($550) to live through summer (Which is at Xmas here), buy presents for my partner's mother, father, brother and the brother's girlfriend and her brother and her parents and her brother's girlfriend - then food ($120), cigarettes ($280), alcohol ($140), as well as staying on top of bills.

Then, I have to buy my partner something great AND I'll give him some money to buy me something too - which is a bit odd, I know, but not really any different to how a lot of couples do things when only one person works.

Ahhhhhh, at least I'll get bacon for breakfast :D

hahaha true, as long as there's ham and fruitcakes! :)

Well I'm really saving hard to get 'em aside from paying the bills and the "others" (gifts to a lot of people). XD While I don't spend much on cigarettes or beers since they're quite cheap here, I get to save a little more than yer. :p

Heh, well, I'm having to buy beer AND cider, and cider costs more >.<' It's tradition though.

We wont have ham this year, but we will have steak, turkey and bacon over two days - which will rock - plus my mother might send me some fudge :D

I'm also interested in our company's exchange of gifts! I'm thinking who picked my name and what gift he/she will give me. I got a purple zippo lighter last year! XD
