The best way of getting approval is having a site they love, you can find some free Word press templates to make your site look professional, and it doesn't hurt to phone them up to hurry your application, basically let them know you know what you are doing and can't wait to try their offers
IF u have prior knowledge of affiliate marketing then it will be advantage for you . Also try to explain them how you will generate volume and from where the traffic is coming from ...
You probably didn't do anything wrong but an oscommerce site isn't really what a CPA network is looking for since the offers often aren't interchangeable. Also, don't just apply for one network, apply for many because you can count with not being accepted everywhere. As it's been said in this thread already, call them after submitting your application, not only to speed up the process but to also show you are proactive and serious about being part of their network.
