I want to identify the number of back link to my website.....

can any one tel me the best back link tool??

 

You can search in Google with the term 'back link checker", I think you would find some good tools.

However, backlinkwatch is good it is also on the first position in Google.

and you will find a lot of tools for checking backlinks
but i suggest you google webmaster tool

Google webmaster tool and yahoo explorer are the best tool to check your backlinks.

 

If you're running Firefox, download SEOQuake. Lots of info in a handy little bar that stays out of your way. Otherwise use Yahoo! Site Explorer. Don't bother checking what links Google has found for your website. You'll be looking at less than 1% of the actual links pointing back to your website. Y!SE doesn't catch 100% of your links either, but it definitely shows a lot more than Google.

When you are checking the amount of links which is more important the links to the domain or the links under the Google links and Yahoo links? Correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm checking lets say links to an article on ezine isn't it showing me all the links to ezine under links to a domain and not the links to that article.

 

Hi thank you very much for giving me different backlink tracking url.

When I check for the backlinks to a page on my website, the result which is displays shows only 2 or 4 backlinks to that page but the result of backlinks defers from each backlink website.

I know there are at least 20 to 30 backlinks to that page.

So how do these tools calculate the number of backlinks ?
