I am trying to market using facebook ads and till now i am getting good result so i would say yes its good
Facebook ads is is very good to promote affiliate products(digital products)...because it target the right audience..... FB ads also work great with CPA offers...

I have found facebook ads to be lower quality traffic than Google search. Yes the ads are displayed to an audience with the right interest but most of those people may not need what you're selling. They're just intersted and surfing on facebook. Someone that actually types "spandex store" into Google is a lot higher quality visitor than someone from facebook that was bored and clicked on your ad.

Are you sure conversion for Facebook Ads is low ?? bacause FB ads work great for me.... I just using Facebook ads to promote my affiliate link... what you need is to target the right audience....make sure you target people with same interests with your products niche...
