The best thing I have noticed about forum comments are highly targeted traffic. They wont do much in conversions when it comes to webmaster forums. Still yet to see how DP fares in that area

 

I suggest search engine ranking.

Get a list of your targeted traffic with lower competition and start building links from forum, blog comments, etc to increase current ranking in Google to get more traffic.

This way you will get huge traffic if you can manage to get rank in top 3.
