It depends what you're looking for. I recommend reading reviews on any host you are considering and reading through their TOS very carefully. Many hosts (including hostgator) limit cpu cycles and other things that you might not realize just by looking at their plans.
I use hostgator for most of my affiliate sites and some content sites too and have found their service first class and have never had any problems. I know some top marketers who use hostgator, but there again as it's been said, it depends what you want from your hosting.
I personally use bluehost and love it, and I know lots of other people who use it and every one of them seems to like it as well.
I've never found better service than with HostGator. Never had any downtime, and the customer service is exceptional.
I think hostgator will fit the needs of most internet marketers up until a point. Once you are at the the point that the HG Baby plan or HG reseller plan will no long suit your needs, then you are probably at the point where just about any basic shared hosting will not fit your needs and you should probably be looking in to a VPS/Dedicated Server. If you get to that point, I would not use hostgator. They are great for shared hosting, but there are much better providers when you are ready for a big-boy server. Also, when you outgrow your hosting you should be making enough money handle the new costs so its no big deal.
Even though I own my own web hosting company, I still recommend hostgator if you only need hosting for one site. It's fast, reliable, and has everything you need to get the ball rolling.
I agree with HostGator. I've had no problems with them and I've been with them for almost two years now. HostMonster / BlueHost is great too.
haha I respect the honesty! I've used blue host for a few years now and I've had no problems with them! They have solid customer service. I've also used host gator for a few of my other sites and they were pretty flawless as well. I'm pretty sure any of the "big hosting companies" will suffice.
Hostgator's reviews are very good. 1. Members of this forum give them Very good reviews if you go through other threads. 2. Reviews of members of another forum which I belong to are VERY good, too. Currently on October 25 Hostgator's Web Hosting Sales ranking is 21 st out of 58 Web Hosting Service providers who are with Commission Juncton Affiliate Program. Their sales record does not live up to their good reputation/reviews at all !!! I think this is due to their high price Compared to iPage $3.5/m and FatCow $3.67/m who both include free domain name,Hostgator monthly fee is much higher. Also Hosgator price does not include Domain name so you have to spend domain name fee on top of web hosting fee. I am currently using Hostgator and I havre no problems, but if there is a chance to use others I am most likly to try iPage (Ist Ranking) or FatCow(8th Ranking) PURELY BASED ON PRICE and POPULARITY. But if you want to play Safe at first, you might try Hostgator for the first instance.
Seems like everyone likes Hostgator. I use them as well, and I have no complaint, but I personally prefer LiquidWeb; I feel that their support is better, all other things considered.
