Hi, I wana know if naming your baby as Google, Yahoo, Bing or twitter is sort of violation. May be funny question But i wana know if its violation ? Will Google snatch my baby if i name him/her GOOGLE.
I think these are trademark for companies which can not be used for commercial purpose but there should not be an issue with naming a baby
I am not from these companies.. It just what I think.. Better you contact them or any trademark expert.
Why do you want to know. Do you have plans ? If you have a triplet, you can call them Google, Bing and Yahoo
Well well well.......... To have a baby you have to mate first......... And for that you need a girlfriend or some type of female lifeform......... Maybe you should work on that little detail first and worry later about the complexities of naming your progeny Trust me, google won't dare even whimper about it.. the bad publicity will flush them down the toilet if they do.. and yahoo is waiting for them to make some kind of mis-step
That gave me an idea. Thats brilliant. But would you really like to give Google as a name to your baby? Back to the question, no you wont have problems as its a life form. You can even name your babies, Google1, Google2, etc...
As Sherlock said to Watson one late night, "It's elementary my dear Watson! We shall name our children Google1, Google2, Google3.. and so on! Then we'll print our website on t-shirts and force them to wear them each day." Well.. Not really. I don't think that would ever happen. On a more serious note, I do believe this would be an issue in the US, not because of trademark laws, but because the word "google" is a 1 with a hundred zeroes behind it and that you can't name your child something obviously silly like that... Or something.
Well, i am not going to add hundred zeros in Google. It will just Google, If the father's name is Googleplex then surely, son should have Google
hmm... i wonder, if a baby named Google, will that make him/her become the best researcher in the world?
