we all know that links to a page can add the weight of that page and there're at least two kinds of pages for a website, the content page and the main page so there's a question, what's the relationship between the weight of main page and the weight of content page. I mean can a link to a content page can also promote the weight of the main page of that website?
If there is link on content page to main page then promoting content page will surely help to promote main page.
At the risk of sounding like a grade school teacher, you should have content on every page on your site. Any pages that should be ranking should be worked into you navigational structure. Google can derive a LOT of important information about the priority of your site by your nav structure. So unless I'm missing the point, you should not only link to the page you should add it to the nav menu. It's always hard to give site advice without being able to see the site.
Hi, 91crocs I think currently all pages' values would be weighted via PR. Thus, you would have the PR juice from the current page if it is dofollowed. all the best,
in fact, the link direction is always from main page to content page, not from content page to main page.
yes, every page is valued via PR. but i think PR calculation contributes partly to the entire weight calculation, website structure is also something important to be considered.
thank u. do you know how website structure or say page priority is considered during main page weight calculation.
